PC World is reporting on the new Lenovo SL Series. Online backup, LoJack, and a new style help target the small and medium sized businesses. Lenovo hopes the low price to feature ratio will be key to the success of the market penetration. The Lenovo name for solid quality shouldn't hurt them with this market either.
According to Engadget aand PC World posts, "Lenovo stripped some of the features found on higher-end ThinkPads, like the proprietary docking ports." This will not make much of a difference for small business owners because Lenovo added in the USB-based port replication system.
No other hardware details were released or leaked by Lenovo. We'll all have to wait a few more weeks for the formal announcement and press releases.
